this is not my work, it was written by az1324
you need to download this MJMD5, which can be found in this thread
After download Extract to Desktop then open it only thing you need to change is your proxy address if you using boston then just xxxx to boston of any other city then put your MJ proxy password in password line then mark on save setting and start service
You would setup your ATA the same way you did normally in the past for MJ but instead of the proxy address and port you would put the ip address of your computer running the proxy like (if your computer proxy is 192.168.1.103 then on proxy setting put 192.168.1.103:5070) and the Listen Port. On the proxy itself you would put the proxy address that you normally would have put in the ATA, the Forward Port (5070), and also your MJ password.
I am Using this and its working good
your computer need to be up and running to make it work. |

Will give it at try? Is there a possibility I can run this on just one computer and run all my atas or will I have to use different computer for different atas.
I have like 5-6 ATA's and some are international where I do not have option to run a computer full time as proxy. Is there a possibility I can send them to computer running in US?? |

Seems 1st step towards the goal to use MJ without the need to run PC all the time.
Thanks.. |

Although this is theoretically possible, the proxy provided (which is, by the way, came from this thread) is not secured, and if exposed to the internet, everybody in the whole world will be able to connect to it and make calls using the MJ account it's setup with. All they need to know is your MJ phone number (which can be obtained by sniffing the traffic, for example).
To prevent this you'll have to provide your own security measures, i.e. filter clients connecting by IP addresses, or require VPN connection, etc... |

I get the impression that keeping your computer turned on is still required. |

I would like to set this up with my thin client and my Linksys ATA. But, the MJMD5 program won't run on my thin client. To the person that wrote the program, can you fix it to run on a thin client? I get an error "application failed to initialize properly 0xc0000135. Click OK to terminate".
Any idea?
Edit: looks like I need to install .net framework, which apparently doesn't do well on a thin client ... more to follow. _________________ -Curt

One possibility, though I haven't tried it yet, is that the call quality used to be considered to be better on the ATA. That's why I'm looking into it.

I am desperately trying to get rid of the dreaded beep. It is driving us crazy... and to be honest, I love playing around technology stuff. _________________ -Curt

I got 1.1 installed and the program requires 2.0. Your link is for 2.0; good find, appreciate it. Unfortunately, my flash drive has only 61MB free (64MB capacity) and it requires the full flash drive to be empty to install. I will play around with it and see if I can get it to install. _________________ -Curt
