zixy_tris

I think that's an indication that you're still not properly registered.

OTC

Edit: probably should disregard. Thought you were trying to configure PAP2T for MJ with MJMDM5.

Looks like for few hrs server was down. Now everything is working back up. The outbound dial plan works great. I had multiple accounts in one account which was giving problem. I created new accounts and delete old ones everything is back up. Incoming dial plan still not working

If incoming dial plan I provided is not working well, then I will suggest you to leave blank option in In Dial Plan.

I'm curious whether sipsorcery.com can be relied on for daily use.
How stable is this environment? Is it available 24/7, goes down for periodic maintenance, etc?

Just so I get the facts straight: Is mysipswitch a workaround for using mj with a 24/7 ATA without the computer and dongle? If so, can it be used with *any* ATA?

Correct, no computer or dongle needed and should work with any ATA.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Another question: Is sipsorcery the same as mysipswitch? When I pasted and updated the inbound mysipswitch Ruby code into the textarea I received the following error:

Ruby dial plans cannot contain "require ", "include", "::", "`" or "system"

After changing the dial plan back to default, when I clicked the Monotoring tab, the Status prompt states "Not logged in"

What am I doing wrong?

Currently, MySipswitch is being phased out and only Sipsorcery accepts new accounts. Most of the Ruby coding is compatible and when I migrated to Sipsorcery from MSS, only the incoming code needed tweaking. The dialplans work great for a Voip system where you are using 2 or more SIP providers and when Magicjack ATA service is down, I can always use the my backup Voip system where the Ruby dialplans come in handy.

But if MJ is the only provider, you really only need a blank incoming and a one line script: Sys.dial("MagicJack)" for outgoing to basically work. There is really no need to use the Ruby script generator as its tailored to a "soon to be obsolete" Mysipswitch.

Synchron Cool

I would still rather use MJMD5 on my local router. I can control that. When Sipsorcery goes down, you are kinda sol till it comes back up.

Thanks for the additional config info synchron. I created a sipsorcery account, filled in the mj sip info and set up the simple outbound dial plan. MJ is my only VOIP provider. How do I connect sipsorcery to my ATA? Will I need to log in to the sipsorcery website every day?

BTW, the input text boxes on sipsorcery do not work with the Opera browser.
