Hi folks new to this site and reading thru posts while I await shipping of MJ I saw where you asked someone to check there pc for internal bluetooth.

This may help find that fast, its a Free Program called Belarc Advisor, it shows all hardware, software and applied programs and tons more.
Its very FAST and installs easy. Belarc Advisor Google finds it.

For Bluetooth connectivity.........

First make sure your PC recognizes your BT. Once that has been established then go into the volume control settings of the MJ and select the feature that matches Bluetooth.

MJ does not switch automatically, so you will still need to be near your PC for starting/ending/receiving calls. The further away from the PC, the poorer the reception will be with the BT.

Now I have a question.....Anyone know how to improve the sound quality? I get alot of echoing and stuttering sound when I use a phone so I just tend to use mic/headset for best quality.

People have had different results with different brands and models of phones. Corded phones seem to be more consistent across brands. Cordless phones vary more, some work better than others. Search the forum for a discussion on cordless phones for which ones work better than others.

Updated: Also search the forum for tips on improving the sound quality, things like using a wired Internet connection vs. wifi, doing a voip test to see if your Internet service can sustain a steady stream of data, etc. There is a separate MagicJack wiki with more info including how to choose a different proxy server that has less load. I have a NYC number but use I think the Phoenix proxy server which improved my call quality.

Based on the recomendation of another user here I purchased a Motorola M200 bluetooth dongle over a year ago. It was plug and play no drivers needed.

I use my Motorola 820 buletooth headset (same one I use with my cellphone) and it works great.

One thing you need to know is that none of them I am aware of will do more than simply provide audio in and out function for MJ. That is you'll have to use the softphone to control calls.

You need to put your bluetooth headset in pairing mode first ( please read the headset manual how to do it, as different models have different way )

-Run Bluetooth icon on taskbar Windows > Add a new device
-Windows will automatically pickup any bluetooth devices which are in range ( those devices must be in pairing mode when Windows searching )
-When Windows found a new device, click on that device, it will ask you to enter the device codes into the box - this could be 0000 or something specific depending on the factory setting - press Enter
If you follow these steps and enter your headset's code correctly, your headset is now connected and Windows will add your bluetooth headset in Audio Devices tab.

-Go to Control Panel > Sound > Playback > choose Bluetooth headset as Default device. Do the same with Recording tab.
-Go to MJ softphone and choose Headset instead of Tigerjet telephone Handset ( or something like that I dont remember, I run ATA now) and try to place a call to see if the sound goes through bluetooth headset, both input and output.

These steps are for Windows 7. Win XP or else might be somewhat different on name ( Audio instead of Sound etc..), but basically it should be similar.

Hope it helps
