How often is the "new cities" list updated? This one is old. Mad

I did a search of the YMAX COMMUNICATIONS CORP on telodata.us and found out that they got numbers in North and South Dakota now, so how long before we can get a local number from them ? the Assined date was 6/17/08 for both of them. Sioux falls number is 605-838 and fargo number is 701-805

I guess if you want to check your area just go to http://www.telcodata.us/telcodata/company?company=YMAX+COMMUNICATIONS+CORP.+-&state=sd but change the state to yours.

or you can check all new exchanges for every month this year at http://www.telcodata.us/telcodata/reports/new-exchanges

Milwaukee, WI was assigned (414-502-....) 1/14/08 AND 1/15/08 according to telcodata. localcallingguide says it has an effective date of 3/6/08 but nothing ever showed up. Still almost five months later. There's other locations with later dates that WI and their already posted on magicjack. Who knows...

truckerwoody - yours says 8/1/08 it should be effective on localcallingguide. But then again, mine was suppose to be in March.

Looks like new area codes are in the works.. There is a new WV AC 304 pending, Not showing in the list is Wisconsin, but when I go to the tab for changing my number, the WI is Shocked

there but with no area codes or numbers set up yet.. Hmm.. Could it be that we may be getting Milwaukee, maybe even Racine?? Confused

Oh yeah.. this looks like good news coming.. Very Happy

Im editing this to show that since this morning the Milwaukee and Thiensville excanges are now posted.. Still Pending but, they weren't even showing up on the Area Codes page before.. Maybe even a 262 Racine will show up later.. Shocked

I think you mean 262 area code in Thiensville Wi. Just activated mine there two days ago. I guess I assumed it was because I lived there that it gave me that option! Was surprised to see Thiensville named. We are such a small town in all of the 262 area code! But, if that's the exchange for all of 262, that makes sense why it was listed as my only option.

Any idea on when Canadian numbers will be available? On the Canadian website it says:

With all these constant commercials on TV and retail distribution through Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc, one would think they would be rolling out more area codes.

I've had a Magic Jack for a year & a half now, and I'm still waiting on a local number. Sad

Hi, All can someone explaint to me what is the process for MJ or Vonage or any other company to get a area code. I live in Puerto Rico and so far no company has been able to get a area code here...

any one???
