HI folks, new here.
I got the MJ April 9, very fast delivery. I paid the extra few bucks. Later I found out it's available in stores. No excuse for ignorance.
Anyway It's working fine and of more than one hundred calls, only one to my niece began to get very choppy. I suspect it was a combo of her cell phone and my use on the computer.
I have a service called Viatalk (VOIP) 500 anytime minutes is under $50 for three months of service and lately its been very reliable. My wife is sold on it and has her doubts about the MJ. We had a MJ when it first came out and it was terrible. My computer at the time was a real piece of junk and my Verizon DSL was slow at that time. I'm going back more than a year. I now have Optimunonline , which was rated very well. So... for the past few days I've been fowarding all calls from Viatalk to my MJ and she doesn't know. She's telling me how clear the call to her sister in Florida. HA HA, I can't wait to tell her shes on the MJ. I have all the phones in the house connected to my MJ line and the MJ on it's own USB powered hub. (yes, I do read the suggestions). MY Viatalk adapter is disconnected. One phone i have is a Panasonic combo answering machine. So I have my choice it let it answer on 4 rings or MJ voicemail.
It's two days now and she doesn't know that she is answering the MJ line. Clear as a bell. If it stays like that, I'll drop Viatalk. If it turns out i have some problems, I can deal with it because we both have cellphones for backup. Hey, everytime i answer the phone it's a relative hitting me up anyway. By the way, if anyone wants to use all there home phones, be sure it disconnect the line in the tele box in the basement or on the side of the house. So, in conclusion, this thing is well worth the money. Even if you put it away and only use it for some long distance calling. I love it and will not be sour if it does give me some trouble, I just love gadgets, especially one that can save me some green. thanks for reading. _________________ Just give me a new gadget everyday! |
