Hah, figured it out. It was my wired phone all along. Switched to a Panasonic Cordless and the phone rang. I'm good to go.

Thanks,

It would be really nice if we can run this as a service.

This CAN be run as a service. At least ala Firedaemon (which runs any windows EXE as a service). But once you configure it the 1st time and check 'Save Settings' you can just run it from startup folder, if that's what you want.

Synchron Cool

Firedaemon is a paid service. Even if I put it in the startup folder, I need to login right?

Firedaemon is a piece of software that you buy for ease and convenience. You can set it up to execute any Windows EXE as a service before you log on so that any multiuser account has it running already and your ATA phone should be registered with a dialtone already.

You really don't need it though, in this case, since there's a CLI version that can be run at startup as well.

Darn it, my Vonics/Sunrocket Innomedia ATA 6328Re won't register. Settings are:

Under Sip Proxy:

Sip Proxy: 127.0.0.1:5070
Use Outbound Proxy: Unchecked
Sip Local Signaling port: 5070 (this is usually 5060)
Sip Domain: 192.168.1.111 (router assigned computer IP)
Registration Expire Time: 60 (I've tried 3600, 1800, 360 as well).

Under User Account:

User Id: EXXXXXXXXXX01
Password: New 20 char MJ PW

The proxy/domain is the same thing I entered in the Xlite softphone which DOES work so I'm really scratching my head here, any clues?? (Obviously, the MJMD5 app is running in the background on the PC whose IP is 192.168.1.111)

TIA,

Synchron

Shouldn't the Sip Proxy be: 192.168.1.111:5070

Well, if you look at page 2 of this thread, that's what I originally had set up with X-lite, that DIDN'T work. Magicnik corrected by using 127.0.0.1.

I would think it shouldn't make a difference, but apparently it does. There must be something else in the ATA that needs tweaking, or maybe it just won't work with Innomedia brand and only wants to work with Linksys.

The ATA has a different IP address than your computer so you have to use 192.168.1.111. Before you were pointing X-Lite to its own ip address.
