I'm happy so far with MJ, but as a multi-platform user, I would love to see MJ develop support for Mac PPC and Linux. Neither presents major technical challenges, so please get at it! I'll be the first to use it.
Meanwhile, I did play around with MJ on Linux and Mac PPC, and found that I could connect to the MJ and other networks on these platforms, but what was lacking was control over the telephone handset itself (dialing out and ringing had to be done on the computer).
Conclusion? If you want VOIP free of Windows or Intel Mac, shop around for an appliance, or send a letter to MJ asking for their support. Or, find a network that's compatible with your computer's VOIP software.

Magicjack will not work natively on PPC macs. It will only work on intel macs. To get around this, you will need to install parallels or some kind of virtual machine software. This basically makes a fake computer that you can install windows on and run it from inside OS X. Then you can plug in your MJ dongle and send it to the windows xp VM and run the program.

That honestly is the easiest solution at this point. Everything else involves running a program to hack your magicjack for the required login info for the MJ servers and xlite...and since magicjack has added code to stop softphones other than their own from connecting to the network. So, you'll have to get that information, and then you'll need to find the proxy from the forum, compile it, and run it every time before you run xlite. It can be daunting if you're a novice, which I'm kind of assuming until you say otherwise. But it can be done!

I myself have successfully done this on linux, and I assume its not too different on OS X but you can probably find something on it in the OS X forums.

MJ will not work on a PPC Mac via VM.
