This is another advantage of a custom build home brew XPe image, you can add whatever components you want to the image, including OE. All of my XPe TC's that use the 4GB MicroDrive have OE installed. Hope this helps... |
The thing is, MagicBeans currently uses the CDO API to actuate sending of emails. That is needed during the registration/licensing process. If the default XPe install has some other API that would allow for SMTP communication, I could either modify the MagicBeans code or write a separate "Licensing" program for thin clients, and have it use that API instead of CDO (which apparently is difficult to install on most thin clients). _________________ PM or Contact @

I'm working on a Forum for MagicBeans. It will be for support, wish list,
features and all things "MagicBeans."
I'll keep this thread posted when it's ready!

I don't have the slightest idea what you're talking about on either of
your last two posts...sorry! Sounds like an issue unrelated to MagicBeans
as far as I can tell (since MagicBeans doesn't currently use MySQL
[referenced in the first post]).
Mind calling me at the support number on the website (www.magicjackbeans.com)
(or posting on the Forum site posted 1 post above yours)? THX.
Update: OH! Now I know what you're referring to [which does use MySQL]...the Forum Site!
I couldn't figure what the error had to do with MB...and still don't know what
your "beta" comment means. In any case, try accessing the Forum site
again...and any issues, as always, just email or call me (see the contact
info on either the magicjackbeans.com site or the forum). THX.
NEW UPDATE - You were right...I had a problem on the forum site.
It was not sending the activation emails...now it's fixed. THX @conniemadagain
All affected new members have been activated without the need for
the email...you can now just login with the creds you had given...
Sorry 'bout that! _________________ PM or Contact @

If your PC is powered off MJ sends all calls to voicemail, AND if call forwarding is enabled when your PC is off MJ then sends all calls to your forwarded #. NO EXTRA SOFTWARE NEEDED. If I understood your question correctly..

| I payed for the product using paypal but did not receive a validation code in order to activate it. I made a call, and left a message explaining my issue, and received a call back within minutes. He fixed me up and it works great. Highly recommended. Great guy. Great product. |
