| I just bought a new intel-based macbook (with Snow Leopard) and magicJack. I installed magic jack on my administrator account. It worked. I installed on my wife's administrator account, it worked. I installed on my children's parental controlled account, it worked (as long as they had access to all programs). When I installed on a separate account that limited the programs, it wouldn't work. Then magicJack would not work with any of the other accounts. Now, it simply comes up to start magicJack and it tries to open (as I have it set to open at login). It disappears, tries again, disappears and then goes away for good. No dialpad, no dial tone. First of all, can you use this across multiple accounts on the same computer? It did work for a short while across all the accounts, except that one, but stopped working after I rebooted my computer. Also, this will not work if the computer is asleep? What about if I just put the display to sleep? That would allow the children to use the phone and as long as I password protect the waking up the display, they would not be able to use my administrator account. However, it would be nice if you can use across multiple accounts. |
