I'm looking for software that will allow me to input different numbers in a bin and have the MagicJack dial all of them. Alternatively, I'm looking for software that I can use with the MagicJack to play recorded messages to other parties that answer. Eventually, I would like something so that the person on the other end can choose options by pressing on their keypad to access different recordings, etc.
Is there anything out there that can achieve any of these things? |

Is it possible to set a MagicJack up in this order:
Leave it soley as an inbound line so that (multiple) people can call in and listen to recorded messages. If so, what would it take to set up voice activated functions on it so that people can search for whatever content is in the available recordings? |

I don't know how important this is to you, but if it is, I suspect Magicjack is probably not the answer for a variety of reasons.
There is a service I'm using for one of my businesses where I maintain a virtual office that might get you some of what you want. You can find it at grasshopper.com. The minimum plan is $9.95/month but after tax, license and dealer prep, it comes in at around $13.
IMO, it's not very intuitive but it does give you a lot of options in controlling your calls, routing, etc. Also, their customer service is excellent, so if you run into a snag, they are johnny-on-the spot there to help. |

It seems to me when I first joined the forum around the beginning of 2008, there was a realtor named Steve (weird some of the stuff you remember!), who had a way of using his MJ to dial from an Excel spreadsheet.
Later, I did a search but couldn't find anything on the board. The only thing I could find outside was some high end stuff for serious telemarketers. If you do come across something, please post it for our edification. |

A simple way, would be to use something like Macro Magic.
I used to use it a few years ago (not for making calls). You can basically program or "teach" it a series of moves, and it would perform them as many times as you wanted.
Example:
1-Bring Excel into focus
2-arrow down to next cell (a list of phone numbers)
3-copy cell to clipboard
4-Bring MJ softphone to focus
5-paste clipboard into number field
6-hit send
7-bring media player into focus
8-play file
9-wait
10-end call
11-start over
Crude, but it could be made to work. _________________ Enjoys a daily VOIP cocktail made from:

| You might try www.voiceshot.com It isn't free but extremely efficient. I have no connection to them other than having used them in the past. |
