I have a magicjack plus, I experience "error 23" and drop calls whether it is incoming or outgoing. To solve my problem, I use a switch before the router and have my magicjack plus pluged to the switch instead of the router. I have my router plug into one of the port on the switch. The rest of all the other devices that I have can stays pluged on the router as before.
This seems to solve my magicjack plus problem for me. Good luck. |

Strange - I am a new MJ+ user, and I got error 23 on my first call.
I have plugged it into a switch which is plugged into my router.
Anyone know what this error is? _________________ JackTheMan18 |

| Do a search on Error 23 and you will find lots of discussion and possible cures. It is the MJ+ failing to connect when it calls home. Probable software conflict with the router. |

Some routers are obviously plug and play. Of course, your new one isn't. You can do a search on how to configure your router for voip(mj) on here or elsewhere(google). Instead of searching error23, do a search for router configuration or put your router in the search. They are all different and may need different types of configuration. You can buy a small switch or hub(4 port) at staples, radio shack, walmart, etc....they're pretty cheap. You could probably get one on ebay for next to nothing. I would try to configure the router 1st and see if that works.
