|
|
Hi there.
Bought the new Magic Jack and all appears to be working great except that when i tried to get a local number (Washington State), i found it impossible to do this. I now have a Portland #?? I was planning on having a second line for a startup business and obviously this is not going to work for me. Before i give it back, would anyone have any ideas as to how i could get a local area code (206), even (425). Talked to support and they were useless... "we dont have that Feature yet" is what i got! .
Thanks in advance.

| If MJ does not have a specific area code you can look into google voice. They have a ton of available area codes. If you need an invitation ebay has some for like a buck or others with an extra invite may be willing to let one go. If your an advanced voip user ipkall gives free washington state did's (phone numbers) but this requires some work to get it to work with MJ. |

| Google voice works with an existing phone system like MJ. You need to request an invite from them or get an invite from an existing google voice user. Just google google voice and you find their site. It's a phone number that calls the number you set it up to work with. Many people have found this to be a work around if MJ does not have a local number for them. |
