This is discussed in the Hacks & Tricks forum, but thought I would post my opinion here. Originally, the softphone popping up used to annoy me. However, lately, I've found to be a benefit since I only call a few numbers and they're stored right on top under Calls. When I'm ready to call, I just hit the Talk/Flash button on my portable Plantronics, the MJ softphone pops up and I'm good to go.

I thought I would use the MS Outlook addy a lot more, but the softphone does the trick 90% of the time.
