I read about 200 negative replys to the device, I ordered it anyway and it gave me a local number and works everytime. I have it on my laptop to take on cruise ships, since ships have a broadband signal it gets a dial tone, I just have to pay for the ships airtime.
I love it, I might get another one for the desktop, a phone number to give out to solicitors, i.e. Im looking at life insurance and dont want them to call my business number.
If it works it works, if not oh well, dispute it with your credit card company. |

knightknk.... glad to hear about your positive experience. I have two of them and they both work great. Originally, I bought the MJ so I could thumb my nose at Verizon's long distance charges since 99% of my long distance needs are satisfied with my cell phone.
However, I regularly sit in on web based training calls that require dialing in to a long distance call center. The MJ works like a charm, especially since I'm usually only listening, so quality is not an issue.
The second MJ has an out-of-the-area area code so I can establish a business presence without the expense of an office or even additional phone service. I simply have the calls forwarded to my cell phone.
Of course, it was a lot more fun when the Caller ID spoofing worked, but I've been very satisified with my MJ. |

| Might as well get them while their available. My roomates parents live in Mineral Virginia, cell service sucks but satellite broadband works great , another good use. I guess you must have a reason to buy one, my AC is listed, but it would be no big deal if it wasnt, everyone else has free long distance. |

I haven't heard any good experiences about MJ and Satellite broadband.MJ's KB says it won't work. If your friend decides to try it, buy from QVC or some retailer that will let you return without the MJ run around.
Keep us posted if it works.
Thanks |

I had satellite with Hughes and no it doesn't work with that so I was able to switch to dsl in my area and it works great with dsl. Matter of facts I have 2 magic jacks one on my computer and one on my husbands' computer. They work great with dsl. |

Magicjack won't work with satellite internet because it's just too high of a latency. _________________
