And, yes, Microsoft Silverlight, latest version is a prerequisite to signing up - which is now locked until at least a week from now.

I installed silverlight against better judgment and googling returns it is a backdoor to our computers. Still website is black on all browsers here.

A ton of free phones here.

Any one with any time to test until they find one that works with google voice out and can be controlled with phone without need of touching the computer?

GVOut isn't working so well for me anymore. It will successfully initiate one call and that's it.

I use the dial plan method on port 5060. I've tried both with and without the busy signal, same result.

The first time I noticed this behavior was this past week when there seemed to be some changes with GV/G5 causing one-way audio. I began using GV/sipgate until I could sort out the GV/G5 problem. Sipgate worked flawlessly right off the bat except for some caller ID issues and a slightly longer audio delay (long enough to make calls somewhat painful and bolster my determination in getting GV/G5 working again.) It's during the use of sipgate that I noticed the GVOut one call problem, but I blew it off because I assumed it may be isolated to sipgate, and besides, I had bigger fish to fry.

I have since fixed the GV/G5 one-way audio issue, but the GVOut one call problem has persisted. I them assumed the GVOut problem may be due to the NAT setting changes made in the SPA3102 which were required to fix the GV/G5 issue. But, while GVOut only makes one call then craps out, I can initiate as many calls as I want from the GV web page Call button, even immediately after GVOut has crapped out.

Edit: This issue may have been due to GV growing pains. In any case the latest version of GVOut (version 1.1.5.1 as of this writing) is currently working very well.

az1324, is there any chance you would consider releasing the source code? I'm not sure how far I would get with it, I'm not really a Windows guy, but I would certainly use this opportunity to cut my teeth.

What I'm most interested in is making strictly a call initiator for the GV Call feature, as I use the dial plan method.

Here is a small update for GVOut. I'm not even using it anymore in favor of SIPSorcery. Update adds a dial plan mode.

latest version of gvout is crashing on startup on xp pro sp3.

I bought a papt2 from staples.com and not sure if unlocked or not or what that mean or firmware flash. I cannot find the docs on cd. So far after hours and hours only on page 6 reading of this thread. I only get pap2t to work with sipgate, but when I turn on outgoing proxy, like other user, it breaks. If I put outgoing as 192.168.0.10:5060 I can get incoming calls but I cannot dial out.

Now problem is there is no restore facotory default button I can see. Very confusing setup, as promised in reviews; Cisco like complexity for complexity sake. I don't see sipgate screeshots on sipgate site. Unsure of stun setting.

So, alot of questions.

Got sipsorcery account--the preferred way-- but clueless there where to start. They like complexity for complexity sake too.

I would doubt that Staples sells locked products. You can download firmware, if needed, by following the product information link posted below.

Resetting the factory defaults is done with the phone that is connected to the device through what Cisco calls the Interactive Voice Response Menu, at least that's how it works on my SPA3102. This information can be found in the user guide, which can be downloaded using one of the following links.

Product information for Cisco ATA devices is here.
User guides for Cisco ATA devices is here.

As for why GVOut may be crashing, make sure you're using the very latest version (found on the first post of this thread) and if possible describe what, if anything, happens when it crashes.

I rebooted and crashing stopped. I assume some remnant of old version was stopping up the port.. Is the newer version of gvout work better on pap2t?

I wasn't having luck other than incoming, but tried every combination I could think (thus need for factory restore)

I was only able to get sipsorcery to work once I was pointed to the url below.

GVOut version 1.1.5.1 has been working well for me. I don't use a PAP2T, I use a SPA3102, but that shouldn't make much of a difference with regards to GVOut.

From your posts, it appears you're trying to use GVOut as a proxy. I've only ever used GVOut in a dial plan mode, but the first few pages of this thread have a lot of info on setting up GVOut as a proxy with a PAP2T.

For what its worth, you've done a superb job to the MJ community providing these tools! Even though GVOut was a hassle for me, MJMD5 proxy was excellent when it was needed, before, I too, switch to SS once they got GV callback to work with other providers besides cruddy quality Gizmo.

And, go figure, over at DDWRT.com, after over a full year in "WIP", they finally provided a DDWRT capable firmware for my Airlink 101 670W router that I could use to stick your MJMD5 on. But since SS is working so great on both the ATA and my Ipod touch, I'd rather not screw around with my one sacred router............ until SS ever goes down (fingers crossed it won't, anytime soon).

The Callcentric 1777 number will not work with Google Voice at this time. You could however forward a Gizmo5 number that you have verified in Google Voice to your Callcentric if you have a limited amount of SIP account registrations available in your configuration. This can be done by going to Gizmo5 members login page and selecting the forward tab. Next in the forward box place the following 1777XXXXXXX@in.callcentric.com. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your repy.

I have registered callcentric with SS and I have set up a Callcentric dial plan. I want to make outbound calls just like I currently do with gizmo/sipgate etc under SS w/o using computer.
Since I cannot add the callcentric telephone # to GV, like I did with gizmo, sipgate etc, I cannot make outbound calls using callcentric telephone. I realize Callcentric # also is another gizmo telephone in GV account..

You need to forward your GV number to your Callcentric local DID number that you purchased, not the 1777 account number. You'll also need to email Callcentric support to have them set your caller ID to your GV number, unless you want your local DID to be used as your caller ID.
