Hi All

Upgrade of 19/08/2010 has removed the Favorite feature from MJ dial pad. It also has removed the Hi-Speed and Aircard 3G option. You can see the serial number under Menu of MJ dial pad and it gives an option to sign in and sign out which has improved the security .
Good Luck MJ Team Smile

Indeed this is true… The Sign in/Sign out feature is very nice to see. However a word of warning to anyone that may try out that new feature during the system wide upgrade. Don’t “Sign Out” seems that until MJ finishes their database upgrade if you sign out you will be prevented from being able to sign back into the system thus rendering your MJ inoperable…

Just a word of warning… Rolling Eyes

DrPacman

Yes, You are right. If anyone will logout then certainly he will not be able to login before their database upgrade complete.

Favorite option has been removed from new softphone.

My guess is you'll want to undo the "running as a service" modifications until all of the upgrades are complete. Likely something has changed in this new upgrade that is making the running as a service option you're using inoperable. Until things settle down, it's probably best to run it as an application as usual, at least until somebody figures out the best way to run as a service again.

Another thing I noticed is power saving for the monitor is also disabled. So now you have to turn the monitor off if you want to save.

Same problem here. Tried it on two computers - neither would allow screen power-saving to activate.
Maybe someone will come up with a solution...

Dumb question, did you try to disable the power feature and then re-enable it again? I have not received the "lucky you" update yet so I am only guessing here..

I set the monitor power saver to "never" and then to 1 minute and it worked. Never thought of that. Trying 5 minutes will reply. Did 5 minutes and it worked. WOW Thank You

Lucky guess on my part since the new update seems to do stuff in the registry, so I just guessed maybe some how a setting got corrupted.. Well that and 30+ years of being a tech Smile Nahhhh lucky guess.

Well I turn my puter off last night like always and this morning when I turned it on the monitor power saver didn't wok. Had to do the "never" "apply" and then set a time and it worked again. So I guess when the MJ starts from a puter start it sets some to disable the monitor power saver.

The MJ did save the few test contacts I put in, so that problem must be fixed. No indication in My Computer of a MJ drive. I Have XP SP3

Same here. Using Win XP have to go thru the 'never' routine.

But on my laptop Win7 no amount of trickery will get the screen-saver to work. Normally I use a 24" desktop monitor with the laptop so now I turn the monitor off when not in use. Not convenient but better than nothing, or being 'on' all the time.

If I unplug MJ from laptop the screen-saver commences working again without any further action on my part.

Sorry, but I just find the whole thing hysterical. It's the first time I've seen an upgrade that removes features.

They have done it in the past, remember the Do Not Disturb feature?
Of course the one time it was a GOOD thing they removed those damn beeps that made us MJ users sound like a 3yr old using the phone for the first time!!
