I am running an HP thin client, with Magic Jack.
I am trying to follow the Wiki, and got the following for the first step:
o=- 1439379257 1439379257 IN IP4 216.234.78.8
s=ENSResip
c=IN IP4 216.234.78.20
So it looks like I am connecting to proxy1.atlanta.talk4free.com.
Next, I tried adding a static route in DDWRT, so reroute a request to 216.234.78.8 would get dumped.
I rebooted the thin client 3-4 times (based on some earlier posts)
Magic Jack can get incoming calls, but when I try to dial out, it tries to dial, and goes right to a dial tone.
Any ideas? |

Hi,
When MJ goes direct to a dial tone after dialing it's indicative that the destination number is busy (MJ doesn't generate a busy signal, MJ just goes back to a dial tone). I'd suggest eliminate the possibility that the destination number is busy. Try phoning a number you know isn't busy such as your bank's automated banking number or any big box retailer with an automated answering system, such as Home Depot. |

Unfortunately, I was using the cell phone right next to me.
It rings it when I remove that reroute, otherwise, just goes to dial tone.
Very strange, considering all the successes. I wonder if it has to do with the Thin client....
I do (and have for about 4 months) had the thin client "locked", so any updates to the MJ, that are made on the system, would revert when rebooted.
Any more ideas? |
