I know that shouldn't be such cause for excitement, but the darn thing has been so sketchy since the last "Lucky You" upgrade, I've pretty much given up on it. Not sure what has changed but I was bored and plugged it in and made a call that lasted almost 15 minutes without a hitch. I made another one before that and it worked as well.

I know I'm easily amused and often get distracted by shiny objects, but I really want this bloody thing to work. I just wish I knew what changed.

I should have titled the post My MagicJack WAS Working.

It worked flawlessly for two calls and then later on in the day, puked after about 6 minutes. Now, I'm back to where I was. I don't mind so much the darn thing doesn't work, (okay, I really do) but I also can't use the Skyjack and Xlitejack plugins, since they all seem to be affected by the latest "Lucky You" upgrade.

I feel so "Lucky", I may play the lottery. Sheesh!

The problem I get with my MJ on my desktop is my MJ will restart itself if I'm running the xlite plugin. I don't have any problems with it on my laptop. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both MJ and the xlite plugin but it continues to happen. MJ works fine otherwise on my desktop. It's not a big deal being I don't want to run my desktop fulltime for MJ anyway. I couldn't even begin to figure this one out but then again I'm not that motivated being this desktop is quickly becoming a dinosaur.

I hooked a jack up to a computer that I had laying around and it worked if the line was wired into the router.

There is a place around the corner where this business moved out, and they left like ten computers behind on the back porch. I thought about snagging an old Dell I saw in the pile, formatting it and re-installing XP, and then jacking it.

One guy on youtube says he's had it working fine on an old computer that he dedicated to the application of running MJ.
